Peter Maris

Peter Maris has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Peter is currently employed as a Principal Mechanical Engineer at Plug Power since 2022, where they have been responsible for providing technical support and engineering services for hydrogen plant development. Prior to this role, Peter worked as a Sr Engineer at Plug Power from 2022 to 2023.

Before joining Plug Power, Peter worked as a Sr Engineer at Frames starting in 2005. In this role, they managed and monitored the planning, budgeting, and technical quality of projects in the energy and renewable energy sectors. Peter also provided engineering and consulting services during project development and execution, and managed contractors at a multi-disciplinary level.

In 2009, Peter pursued their passion for nature photography and worked as a Nature Photographer at their own venture, www.petermaris.com, until 2020. Their wildlife photography and articles have been featured in various publications and their images are available for licensing and fine art prints.

Prior to their photography venture, Peter worked as an Engineer at Koninklijke Saan from 2004 to 2005, and as a Test Engineer at Webasto in 2003.

Peter Maris attended Inholland University of Applied Sciences from 1999 to 2003. Peter obtained a Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering during this period.
