Suerd Polderdijk

Suerd Polderdijk has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Suerd is currently working at Plug Power as the Concept Development Director, where they lead the team in conceptual engineering design and project management for large green hydrogen production plants. Prior to this, they were the Head of Concept Development Team at Plug Power and played a key role in establishing the team and managing the initial development phases of a flagship green hydrogen production plant in Europe.

Before joining Plug Power, Suerd served as the General Manager (Commercial) at Frames Renewables from 2021 to 2021. Suerd also held the position of Board of Directors at the Malaysian Dutch Business Council (MDBC) from 2015 to 2021.

Prior to their roles in the renewable energy and business council sectors, Suerd was with Frames as the General Manager Asia-Pacific. In this role, they were responsible for leading the regional office in Kuala Lumpur and overseeing strategy, business development, sales, and supply chain development in the Asia-Pacific region. Suerd also worked as a Sales Engineer at Frames.

Suerd's earlier experience includes working as an Advisor Traffic Management at Rijkswaterstaat and a Trainee at both Rijkswaterstaat and Witteveen+Bos Russia.

Suerd started their professional career as the Director/Accountmanager at StuD Studentenuitzendbureau B.V.

Overall, Suerd Polderdijk has a strong background in conceptual engineering design, project management, business development, and sales in the renewable energy and energy industries.

Suerd Polderdijk completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Delft University of Technology, a program that lasted from 2001 to 2007. Suerd then pursued a Master of Science degree in Transport, Infrastructure, and Logistics from the same university, which they completed in the years 2006 to 2009.
