Tyler Lee

Tyler Lee has a diverse range of work experience. Tyler started their career at DXP Enterprises, Inc. in 2013 as an Engineering Design Intern. The following year, in 2014, they interned at Stress Engineering Services, Inc. as an FEA Intern. In 2015, they worked as a Project Management Intern at ARCO/Murray.

In 2016, Tyler joined CB&I, where they completed several rotations in their training program. Tyler served as a Design Engineer, a Civil Concrete Field Engineer, a Welding and Manufacturing Engineer, and a Field Engineer. During these rotations, they gained experience in various tasks such as welding, construction planning, and quality control. Tyler stayed with CB&I until 2023, functioning as a Construction Supervisor and an On-Site Project Engineer for their notable project at NASA Kennedy Space Center.

Following their tenure at CB&I, Tyler joined Plug Power in 2023 as a Senior Project Engineer.

Prior to their professional career, Tyler was a student-athlete at The University of Texas at Austin from 2012 to 2016. Tyler walked on to the football team as a freshman and spent their time as a Wide Receiver and later as a Defensive Back. Tyler successfully balanced their responsibilities as a Division I football player with their studies in Engineering and Business, garnering accolades such as being a Big 12 Academic All-American and receiving the Provost Award.

Tyler Lee earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Cockrell School of Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. Tyler attended this program from 2012 to 2016. During the same period, they also completed a Business Foundations Certificate with High Distinction from the Texas McCombs School of Business. In April 2018, Tyler obtained SMAW and FCAW weld certifications (2G and 3G) from CB&I. Additionally, in May 2016, they obtained a Business Foundations Certificate from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin.
