Brian Samson

Brian Samson has a diverse work experience history. Brian is the Founder and Chairman of Plugg Technologies, a company that connects US-based companies with technology talent from LATAM. Brian also serves as a General Partner at Hang10X Capital, an investment firm in Hawaii. In addition, Brian is the Founder and President of Bali Staffing, a company that provides sourcing and recruiting services to VC-funded tech companies. Brian is also the Podcast Host at The Nearshore Cafe, where they interview business leaders from LATAM and the US. Brian has been an Advisor at Black Tech Jobs, contributing to their mission of closing the exclusion gap for black tech talent. Brian has also been a Council Member and Contributing Writer at YEC, featured in publications such as the Wall Street Journal. Brian has held leadership positions, such as Chapter President, at UCLA Anderson School of Management. Brian has been involved in the startup ecosystem as a Co-Founder and Co-CEO of True North and as a Mentor at Blue Startups.

Brian Samson has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from UCLA, another Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the National University of Singapore, and a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources/General Management from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. In addition, they completed an SPHR course in 2011. Brian also holds certifications in Preventing Workplace Harassment from Emtrain, obtained in April 2015, and an SPHR certification from HRCI, obtained in 2011.
