Steve Weigel

Steve Weigel has a diverse work experience that spans over a decade. Steve began their career in the United States Marine Corps as an Infantryman, serving from 2005 to 2010.

After their military service, Steve joined Astrum Solar in 2012, where they worked as a System Design Specialist and later as a Project Lead.

In 2014, Steve moved to Sungevity, where they took on the role of Field Manager. Steve was responsible for managing exceptions, optimizing schedules, and providing real-time guidance to the team. Steve was later promoted to the position of East Coast FM Team Lead, where they empowered the team to exceed all metrics and worked closely with partners and FM's to achieve company goals.

In 2016, Steve joined Apex Solar Power as the Senior Vice President of Operations but transitioned into the role of Chief Administrative Officer later that year.

Currently, Steve serves as the Chief Executive Officer of PlugPV, a solar energy provider that offers turnkey solutions for solar installation. Steve'srole involves overseeing all aspects of the company's operations and driving its mission to spread solar energy to the community.

Steve Weigel completed their education with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography from the University at Albany, SUNY in 2012. Prior to that, they obtained an Associate of Applied Science degree in Computer Aided Drafting and Design from Hudson Valley Community College in 2010. Additionally, Steve obtained a Certified PV Installation Professional certification from NABCEP: North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners in April 2015. In terms of additional certifications, Steve has a First Aid/CPR certification, a Gravitec Fall Protection Certification, an NFPA-70e certification, and an OSHA-30 Hour Training certification, but the institutions and dates for these certifications are not specified.
