Marco Jacobs

Marco Jacobs has a diverse and extensive work experience in the technology industry. Marco is currently working as the Head of Product Marketing at Plumerai, where they focus on making deep learning more efficient and enabling AI on small devices. Prior to this, they served as the VP of Marketing and Business Development at Innatera Nanosystems, where they built ultra-low power neuromorphic AI solutions.

From 2010 to 2021, Marco ran their own consulting firm called Marco Jacobs Consulting, where they offered professional services in business development, marketing, strategy, and project management. Before that, they worked as the VP of Marketing at videantis, where they were responsible for all marketing-related tasks and pushed deep learning and computer vision to new performance levels. Marco also served as the VP of Marketing at Vector Fabrics B.V., where they guided the process of multi-threading software to take advantage of computer architectures.

Additionally, Marco has held leadership positions at Virage Logic, Silicon Hive, Bosch Security Systems, and BOPS, Inc. At Virage Logic, they were the Director of Marketing, Multimedia and was responsible for product marketing and management of audio and video products. At Silicon Hive, they served as the Product Marketing Manager for media products and drove the company's entry into mobile imaging. At Bosch Security Systems, they led a team developing audio/video coding components.

Marco Jacobs began their career as an Applications Programmer at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, where they focused on software development for environmental spectroscopic computed tomography. Overall, Marco has demonstrated expertise in marketing, strategy, business development, and software development throughout their career in the technology industry.

Marco Jacobs attended Delft University of Technology from 1990 to 1995, where they studied Computer Science. Following that, they enrolled at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 1995 to 1996, continuing their studies in the same field.
