Ian Hogarth

Ian Hogarth is a seasoned entrepreneur and investor, currently serving as a Partner at Plural since August 2021, where the focus is on backing ambitious founders in technology aimed at creating GDP-level impact across Europe. As Chair of the UK AI Safety Institute since June 2023, Ian reports directly to high-level government officials, leading efforts in advanced AI safety for public interest. Ian has invested in over 100 startups as an angel investor and co-founded Songkick, where Ian led the company as CEO for over eight years, developing a major platform for concert discovery and ticket sales. Prior experience includes roles at Bain & Company and Cambridge Consultants Ltd, and Ian holds degrees from the University of Cambridge and Tsinghua University.
