Aron Hsiao

Aron Hsiao has diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Aron currently works at Plurilock, where they have held multiple roles, including Vice President of Marketing since April 2023 and Vice President of Product from September 2020 to April 2023. Prior to Plurilock, they worked at eBay as a Seller Activation Manager for seven months in 2018. From 2013 to 2017, they served as the Senior Communications Manager at Terapeak. Aron also had roles at The New School as a Lead Developer and Research Associate from September 2013 to June 2015, and as an Adjunct Lecturer of Media, Culture, and Communication at New York University from January 2010 to December 2014. Aron was an Adjunct Lecturer of Social Thought, Sociology, and Anthropology at multiple undergraduate institutions from January 2008 to December 2014. Aron has experience in development and editing, having worked as a Lead Developer and Development Editor at Deliberately Considered from April 2011 to December 2013, and as an Editor at Pragmatic Programmers, LLC from December 2011 to March 2013. Aron also served as the Managing Editor of the International Journal of Politics, Culture, and Society from April 2010 to April 2011. In addition, Aron worked as a Social Media/New Media Development Consultant at the Annenberg Center for Global Communication Studies from April 2008 to March 2009.

Aron Hsiao has an extensive education history. Aron obtained a Ph.D. in Sociology of Media / Human Factors from The New School from the years 2006 to 2014. Prior to that, they earned an M.A. in Social Sciences from the University of Chicago in 2003 and 2004. Additionally, they hold a B.A. (Double) degree in English and Anthropology from the University of Utah, which they completed from 1991 to 2001. Furthermore, Aron Hsiao has acquired several certifications. Aron obtained the Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification from Mountain Goat Software in June 2022. In 2015, they obtained certifications in Getting and Cleaning Data, R Programming, and The Data Scientist's Toolbox from Coursera Verified Certificates.
