Joseph Smith

Joseph Smith is an experienced leader in engineering and field operations, currently serving as Director of Field Engineering at Plus since June 2022. In this role, Joseph builds the Field Engineering and Service function for the deployment of PlusDrive technology to Class 8 fleets. Previously, Joseph held roles at Kargo as Head of Field Operations and at Outrider as Senior Director of Support Engineering and Director of Field Engineering, focusing on autonomous yard operations. Other notable positions include Senior Manager and Technical Services Manager at Bossa Nova Robotics, where Joseph optimized retail operations through service robots, and Sales Manager at Endeavor Robotics, driving customer engagement for the United States Navy and Marine Corps. Joseph's early career includes a role at iRobot Corporation managing Field Service Engineering and as a Robotics Repair Technician at Qualis Corporation, providing technical support in military operations. Joseph began military service as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps from 1999 to 2007.
