Ben Marter

Ben Marter is an accomplished communications and public affairs professional with extensive experience in both government and the private sector. Currently serving as Managing Director at PLUS Communications since October 2024 and as Founder of The Forum Consulting, LLC, Marter utilizes over twenty years of expertise in government relations and public affairs to provide tailored engagement strategies. Previous roles include Vice President of Public Affairs at the American Petroleum Institute, where strategic advocacy efforts were directed at key government stakeholders, as well as Senior Advisor and Communications Director for U.S. Senators Dick Durbin and Chris Murphy. Marter's background also includes various communications director positions in the U.S. House of Representatives and the Colorado State Senate. Academic credentials include a Bachelor's degree in History and French from the University of Colorado Boulder and a Master's degree in International Relations from the University of Colorado Denver.
