Jonathan Stein

Jonathan Stein, PhD, HCLD(ABB), is an accomplished medical professional with extensive experience in laboratory management and clinical oversight. As the current Chief Science Officer and Medical Director at Biogene Pathways, Jonathan leads multiple laboratories focusing on Next Generation Sequencing and oncology services. Previous roles include Medical Director positions at Plus Therapeutics, Inc., Gene By Gene, and various consulting director roles across several laboratories. Jonathan has demonstrated expertise in CLIA compliance, regulatory management, and staff training, and has made significant contributions to research and development in molecular biology and cancer genetics. Jonathan holds a PhD in Biomedical Sciences and Molecular and Cancer Genetics from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, alongside a BA in Biochemistry from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Additionally, Jonathan has served as an instructor at Rice University, imparting knowledge in health and wellness.
