+ATLANTIC is a Portuguese Collaborative Laboratory (CoLAB) that applies science to create innovative, operational solutions for real-world challenges in the ocean, coastal zones, climate, and environment. We work closely with public authorities, industry, and the scientific community, transforming complex data into products and services that support governance, economic sectors, research, innovation, and society.

Our multidisciplinary team combines Earth observation, remote sensing, data science, geospatial analysis, artificial intelligence, numerical modelling, and science communication to generate economic, environmental, and social impact. Our mission is to accelerate the sustainable transition across the Atlantic.

We participate in multiple European programmes and initiatives funded by Horizon Europe, ESA, Copernicus, ECMWF, the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), and New Space Portugal. Within these frameworks, we develop:

• High-resolution geospatial information for forecasting and managing oceanic, coastal, climate, and environmental risks
• Specialised consultancy and technical support for monitoring and implementing public policies and projects at different geographical scales
• Tailored digital solutions for the blue economy, climate resilience and environmental monitoring, based on data collected from space to the deep sea
• Stakeholder consultation, co-design services, science communication, and ocean literacy programmes to foster a more informed and engaged society
