Mark Backsmeier

Mark Backsmeier has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Mark currently holds the position of CTO at +SUBSCRIBE®, starting in February 2023. Prior to this role, they were the Head Of Engineering at the same company from March 2021 to February 2023. Before that, they served as an Engineering Manager from March 2018 to March 2021, and as a Senior Software Engineer from October 2016 to March 2018, both at +SUBSCRIBE®.

Mark's professional journey began as a Software Consultant at ThoughtWorks, where they worked from March 2014 to October 2016. Mark also gained valuable experience as an Operations Intern at SurveyMonkey in September 2012. Further, they worked as a Project Management Intern at Intuit from May 2012 to August 2012. Mark started their consulting career as a Consultant at Illinois Business Consulting, where they worked from August 2011 to May 2012. Lastly, they gained early experience as a Systems Intern at State Farm in the summer of 2009.

Mark Backsmeier attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2008 to 2013, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics.
