David Cottrell has extensive work experience in software engineering and development. David is currently working as a Lead Software Engineer at Pluto TV since 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Verizon Media Platform from 2016 to 2021 as a Sr. Full Stack Engineer, where they were responsible for leading the Technical Excellence Team and developing an in-house tool for deploying microservices to Kubernetes. David also worked on building microservices for managing playback session iteration and emitting webhook events.
Before joining Verizon, David worked at Teem as a Sr. Javascript Engineer from 2015 to 2016. David also had a role as a Sr. Software Engineer at Verizon Digital Media Services from 2014 to 2015, where they contributed to building a UI for an enterprise-level Clipping tool.
Earlier in their career, David worked at JobDash as a Software Developer in 2014, Neutron Interactive as a Senior Web Developer from 2012 to 2014, and Oozle Media as a Web Developer in 2012. In these roles, they worked on various projects such as building lead-gen portals, developing custom website solutions using WordPress and Magento, and collaborating with designers and clients to create modern UX/UI experiences.
