Senior Android Engineer at Pluto TV

Francisco Nin has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Francisco started their career as an intern in IT at Complexo Educacional Damásio de Jesus and later at Toutatis. In 2013, they worked as an intern and lead game designer and developer at Microsoft Innovation Center São Paulo where they gained practical experience in game design and company management.

In 2014, Francisco co-founded Box2Box Studios and served as a game designer and Unity developer. Francisco worked on personal projects and participated in a competition to develop a game for Mauricio de Sousa Produções, the biggest comic book company in Brazil.

In 2015, they joined Fluid27 as an Android developer, where they gained experience in building Maeguru, a social network for mothers. Francisco learned various skills such as building social network feeds, handling restful requests, push notifications, and integrating Google Maps and YouTube API.

In 2017, Francisco became an Android developer at Kiddo Labs, a team that developed a social network called TimeHi for Brazilian teenagers. Francisco focused on optimizing device memory usage, implementing photo and video uploading, and integrating real-time chat functionality.

Francisco then joined Neon, one of the largest digital banks in Brazil, in 2019 as a senior Android engineer. Francisco worked closely with the design team to maintain quality and consistency in the app. Francisco built complex UI components and animations with high fidelity to meet the design team's requirements.

Currently, they are working at Pluto TV, a popular streaming platform. Francisco started as an Android engineer and then became the lead Android engineer in February 2022. Francisco has been part of a multicultural team and has gained experience in technologies such as RXJava, Clean Architecture, Jetpack Navigation Component, and Room.

Throughout their career, Francisco has demonstrated adaptability, a strong technical skill set, and a passion for developing innovative and user-friendly applications.

Francisco Nin attended SENAC University from 2012 to 2014, where they pursued a degree in Digital Games with a focus on Digital Games Programming. Prior to that, in 2011, Francisco briefly enrolled in FIAP to study Information Systems Management. In addition to their formal education, Francisco obtained a certification in Design and Development of Games for Learning from edX in July 2015.
