Igor Dagayev

Igor Dagayev has extensive work experience in software engineering, specializing in video playback and manipulation, as well as DRM and video transcoding. Igor has held various roles at different companies throughout their career.

Starting in 1998, Igor worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Direct Insite Corp., where they contributed to the development of an Electronic Bill Presentment and Payment system.

In 2004, they joined Hauppauge Computer Works, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer, focusing on the development of a client-server application for watching and listening to PC-based media on TV sets.

In 2006, Igor moved to Philips, where they served as a Senior Software Engineer, working on a client-server application for assets management.

From 2007 to 2009, Igor worked at ClickIt, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer, involved in the development of a Digital Video Recording System for CCTV applications.

Starting in 2009, Igor joined Cablevision as a Director/Principal Software Engineer, leading projects related to video streaming for various platforms and the design and implementation of a scalable video delivery system.

From 2021 to 2022, Igor was a Solutions Engineer at castLabs, providing presale and postsale support, as well as custom development in DRM technologies and video transcoding.

In 2021, they joined OpenReel as a Senior Software Engineer, focusing on front-end Angular development, video manipulation, and playback, as well as Nest JS.

Currently, Igor holds the role of Lead Software Engineer at Pluto TV.

Igor Dagayev completed their education history with two notable achievements. In 1984, they enrolled at Donetsk National University and pursued a Master's degree in Physics, completing it in 1991. Later, in 2016, they attended Udacity for a short period and attained a Front-End Web Developer certification.
