Michael Yilmaz has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Michael began their career as a Catalog Designer at Lincoln Imports, where they collaborated with various teams to create catalogs using design software. Michael then worked as a Broadcast Technician at DFH Network, coordinating with the marketing department and managing advertisement instructions.

Yilmaz then joined Encompass Digital Media, Inc. as an MCO/TOC Tech, where they communicated with clients and operated routine live events. At PlayStation, they served as a NOC/Incident Manager, proactively monitoring live video signals and driving incident management for various channels and programs. Michael also had responsibilities such as analyzing metrics, creating tickets, and ensuring overall application health.

Following their time at PlayStation, Yilmaz joined Hulu as a BOC/Incident Management professional. In this role, they maintained live video signals, drove incident management for live streams, and collaborated effectively with vendor partners. Michael monitored multiple live events concurrently and reported on the health of signal delivery.

Yilmaz then joined Peacock as an Incident Manager, where they managed incidents related to their streaming service. Currently, they are serving as a Senior Engineering Manager at Pluto TV.

Michael Yilmaz began their education at California State University, Fullerton in 2008, where they pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree. Michael attended the university until 2009. Following this, they enrolled at Santiago Canyon College in 2009 and completed their studies there in 2012, focusing on Communication.

In addition to their formal education, Michael Yilmaz has also obtained several certifications. In August 2015, they became a Certified Television Operator through the Society of Broadcast Engineers. In October 2018, they acquired the Google Ads Fundamentals certification from Google. Continuing their professional development, they obtained the Incident Command/Incident Management System certification from Blackrock 3 Partners, Inc. in September 2020.

More recently, Michael Yilmaz has obtained various certifications in 2021. In August, they received certifications in DevOps Foundations: Incident Management and ITIL® Foundation 4 First Look from LinkedIn. Michael also completed the Putting ITIL® into Practice: Problem Management Techniques course from LinkedIn during the same month. In September 2021, they obtained the Incident Responder Certification from PagerDuty. Additionally, in August 2021, they acquired the Scrum: The Basics certification from LinkedIn.
