Ragan Shearing

Ragan Shearing has a diverse work experience in the field of software testing and development. Ragan currently works as a Software Test Engineer at Pluto TV since 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Twilio as a Software Developer In Test from 2020 to 2021.

From 2019 to 2020, Ragan served as a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test at Nutrien Ag Solutions. Their role involved testing in a REST-based environment using various technologies such as C#, Node.js, AWS, and Azure.

Before that, they worked at Terumo BCT as a Senior Software Developer Engineer in Test from 2015 to 2019. In this role, they focused on expanding Load and Performance testing and providing guidance on automation practices and applications.

From 2010 to 2015, Ragan worked at DigitalGlobe as an Automation Engineer. Their responsibilities included enhancing and maintaining the existing automation framework, conducting SOAP and XML testing using SOAP UI and JMeter, and performing Load and Performance testing.

Ragan also has experience working as a Contractor QA Automation at Comcast in 2009 and as a QA Automation Engineer at ULA - United Launch Alliance - Lockheed Martin & Boeing in the same year. In these roles, they focused on automating SAP and web-based applications and XML validations.

Ragan's early experience includes working as an Automation/Performance Test Lead at Avaya from 2005 to 2009, where they introduced automation using HP/Mercury's Business Process Testing and performed load/performance testing. Ragan also trained groups on the automation tools.

Their career began as a Test Automation/Performance Engineer at Intrado from 2003 to 2005.

Ragan Shearing attended Metropolitan State University of Denver from 1997 to 2003, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Prior to that, they completed an Associates degree in Electronics Engineering Technology from Westwood College - Denver North in 1996. In February 2019, Ragan Shearing also earned a certification called Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) from the ASTQB - Official Page - American Software Testing Qualifications Board.
