Scott Davis

Scott Davis has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and consulting. Scott worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Pluto TV from 2023 onwards. Prior to that, they were a Lead Engineer at Ticketmaster for a period of ten years, where they played a significant role in transforming their monolithic web service call stack into a domain driven message passing architecture. Additionally, they led the cloud transformation to Kubernetes and AWS, and worked as a legacy systems archaeologist to uncover old requirements and implementation details.

Before their tenure at Ticketmaster, Scott worked at Wells Fargo as a Developer and Support Engineer from 2010 to 2012. Scott developed DevOps tools and utilized Java and scripting software to support an enterprise payments product.

In 2009, Scott established their own consulting corporation, where they operated as a Senior Consultant. During this time, they focused on deployment automation and production support automation in Unix ecosystems. Their services included requirements development, software process architecture, software development, quality assurance, training, and system administration.

Scott began their career at Hewlett-Packard in 1995 and held various roles within the company. Scott served as an Integration Architect in HP's Sales IT function, where they worked on projects involving Siebel CRM, including single sign-on integration with Netegrity Siteminder. Scott also served as a Senior Technical Consultant for HP's email server product, providing technical account management, sales engineering, system installation, and customer support.

Their earliest work can be traced back to their role as a Computer Programmer at Los Alamos National Laboratory, where they participated in the design, development, documentation, and support of scientific software. Scott was also responsible for developing GUI software for scientific graphing.
