PluumoPlus is a pioneer in thermal packaging innovation. Crafted from recycled feathers to deliver superior performance whilst minimising the impact on the environment, for the Life Science Industry.

Why opt for PluumoPlus?

Traditionally, plastic materials like expanded polystyrene have been the go-to choice for insulation in deliveries. However, their widespread use comes at a significant environmental cost – from production to disposal.

Inspired by the circular economy, PluumoPlus capitalises on the abundance of surplus feathers worldwide, addressing waste disposal challenges while eliminating the need for plastics in packaging.

Beyond its eco-friendly composition, PluumoPlus harnesses the inherent thermal properties of feathers to offer unparalleled insulation performance, surpassing even the capabilities of expanded polystyrene. This translates to prolonged cooling durations for deliveries, minimising spoilage, and waste within the supply chain.

The feather procurement process begins with a rigorous washing and cleaning regimen to adhere to stringent international hygiene standards.

Utilising our proprietary, patent-pending, methodology, we transform feathers into an intermediate fibre, blending it with a minimal quantity of biodegradable binder material This amalgam forms the foundation of our distinctive insulation material, which is then encased within a starch-based compostable outer film.

Our commitment to excellence and the continued advancements in material innovation drive us to continually explore avenues for enhancing the material composition of PluumoPlus beyond its feather core. We anticipate further refinements soon, underscoring our dedication to sustainable innovation.
