Tamás Babits, founder and CEO, brought about Plydesign in 2014, intending to create a high-end collection designed by talented creatives based on his 35-year family-owned factory’s extensive experience manufacturing molded plywood. Care, consciousness and curiosity have shaped the core of their design approach, where the fusion of technology and material turns ideas into reality - improving people’s quality of life.

The brand’s strategy is framed by innovation, collaboration and efficiency. Its mission is to create a platform for original concepts and to encourage young designers, thus boosting the position of the Hungarian wood and design industry at home and abroad. Over the years, working with talented designers has resulted in the wide range currently available, which perfectly covers the needs of the public, home and office interiors.
