Alf Penfold

Alf Penfold is an experienced professional in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors, currently serving as Technical Director - GMP / Regulatory Compliance at PM Group since September 2019, where responsibilities include conducting GMP Design Reviews for cell and gene therapy facilities. Previously, Alf held positions as Senior Project Manager at PM Group, leading significant projects for companies such as BIOGEN, SANOFI, and GSK, focusing on biotech operations, feasibility studies, and the development of strategic plans. With a decade-long tenure as Director of Global Engineering at Pfizer, Alf managed extensive capital projects, including the $68 billion Wyeth acquisition and various engineering initiatives across multiple global sites. Alf's earlier career includes roles at Catalent Pharma Solutions and GSK, with a strong foundation in engineering and project management supported by an MBA in Accounting and Finance from The Open University.
