Dominic Ormerod

Dominic Ormerod has extensive experience in the water industry, beginning as a Leakage Operative at PN Daly Limited from February 1996 to August 2001, where responsibilities included conducting Step Tests and Pressure Zero tests on the North West water contract. Progressing through various roles, Dominic served as Senior Project Manager overseeing Thames Water's operations, with a focus on planning and resource management for detection activities. As Project Manager, significant achievements included reducing leakage levels in the challenging Woodford zone. In the role of Major Project Manager, leadership was provided on the Manchester Metrolink Scheme's multi-utility works, emphasizing planning and resourcing. As Utilities Manager, Dominic oversaw multiple teams at Media City, ensuring the successful delivery of complex utility systems. Currently, since November 2022, Dominic holds the position of Head of Technical Training and Development in the Water Division at PN Daly Limited, focusing on staff training and integrating new technologies. Dominic earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering from St Theodores, Burnley, from 1982 to 1988.
