Stephen Conrad has over 30 years of experience in system protection, primarily with Public Service Company of New Mexico (PNM) from April 1989 until retirement, serving as Principal Engineer-System Protection and PNM Principal System Protection-Retired. Responsibilities included the protection of generators, transformers, breakers, lines, and the distribution network. Prior to PNM, Stephen worked as a Senior Protection Engineer at Plains Electric G&T from January 1982 to April 1989 and as a Protection Engineer at Dayton Power and Light from May 1969 to April 1982. Academic credentials include a Master of Engineering in Electrical-Power and a Master’s Degree in Electric Utility - Power Systems, both from New Mexico State University, along with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Western Michigan University and an Associate’s Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the State University of New York College of Agriculture and Technology at Morrisville.
