Mallory Short is a senior product designer at Pocket Prep. Mallory has over six years of experience in the design industry, with a focus on visual interface design. Mallory has a passion for creating user-friendly designs that are both aesthetically pleasing and functional.
Mallory began their career as a freelance textile print designer. Mallory then transitioned into photography, and eventually found their niche in design. Mallory has worked as a designer for Time Inc. and Prudential Financial before joining the team at Blue Cross NC, where they served as senior visual interface designer.
In their current role at Pocket Prep, Mallory is responsible for designing new features and enhancements for the Pocket Prep app. Mallory also works closely with the engineering team to ensure that the designs are implemented correctly. In addition, they provide user research and feedback to help guide the product roadmap.
Mallory Short attended North Carolina State University, where they studied Art + Design. Mallory then completed a fashion/apparel design studio program at the NC State European Center in Prague. Finally, they obtained a certification from the W3Cx in WAI0.1x: Introduction to Web Accessibility.
