Fred Facemire has a long and successful career in technology. Fred began their career in 1992 as a Program Manager and Senior Engineer at Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. Fred was responsible for leading the technical development, financial and strategic planning for multiple projects with a $27M total budget. Fred then moved to Smiths Detection in 2002, where they held various roles, including Head of Technology, Director of Technology for Radiological and Nuclear (Rad/Nuc) Detection, and Director of Systems Integration. In 2015, they joined PocketiNet Communications Inc. as Director of Technology, leading the technical team to evaluate, integrate and support technologies that provide residential and business customers with a suite of high speed internet, VOIP, video, security and home automation services.

Fred Facemire received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Maryland between 1989 and 1991. Fred then went on to receive a Master of Science (M.S.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University between 1992 and 1997.
