As a literary organization, Poda-Poda Stories gathers rich stories from Sierra Leone and the Sierra Leonean diaspora. We publish fiction, essays, poetry and book reviews by Sierra Leoneans about Sierra Leonean literature. Our vision is to be a platform that publishes and archives Sierra Leonean literature. This includes all things related to Sierra Leonean literary heritage, including arts and culture. Though we appreciate and welcome contributors who are not from Sierra Leone, all our published work is Sierra Leone-centric. The reason for this is that Sierra Leonean voices are not often represented in global literature and global literary discourse. Therefore, Poda-Poda stories creates a uniquely carved space for Sierra Leonean writers at home and in the diaspora to publish their work.
