Poetry O’Clock is a live typewriter poetry experience that turns personal stories into poems in real time.

We create thoughtful, memorable moments at events by inviting guests to share a memory, a feeling, a person, or a small piece of their story. In just a few minutes, that exchange becomes a custom poem, written live on a typewriter and given to them as a keepsake.

What begins as a brief conversation often becomes one of the most meaningful parts of an event. A poem can hold joy, longing, gratitude, love, friendship, change, or remembrance in a way that feels personal and lasting.

Poetry O’Clock is designed for events, cultural spaces, brand activations, hospitality settings, and private gatherings that value presence, creativity, and human connection. Our work adds a quiet kind of intimacy to a room and leaves guests with something they can carry home.

Our offerings include live event poetry, custom poetry activations, keepsake poems, and future poetry experiences rooted in slowness, beauty, and thoughtful storytelling.

Each poem is written on a typewriter by one of our resident poets, making every piece both immediate and tangible.

Based in Nairobi, Poetry O’Clock is available for collaborations, private events, and creative programming.
