Matt Wood

Matt Wood is an experienced engineering leader with a strong background in software development and technical support. Currently serving as an Engineering Manager for Trust and Safety at Plenty of Fish since January 2022, Matt leads a cross-functional team focused on user protection against spam, fraud, and bad actors. Previous roles at Plenty of Fish include Engineering Team Lead and Technical Lead, where responsibilities encompassed monetization strategies and backend development. Prior to this, Matt held various positions at Absolute Software, including Software Development Team Lead, and contributed to high-performance software development while managing a team. Early career experiences include technical support roles at ACTIVE Network and Emberlight Technologies, alongside customer support responsibilities at Knox College. Matt holds an Associate Degree in General Studies from Everett Community College.
