Tom S.

Tom S. has extensive experience in various leadership roles, primarily in finance and legal affairs. Tom started their career at Deloitte, where they worked as a Senior Accountant and Senior Tax Consultant. Tom then moved on to Gaylord Container Corporation, where they served as the Assistant Treasurer, handling finance, treasury, tax, and strategic planning.

Afterwards, Tom joined a private equity portfolio company as the CFO, overseeing finance, accounting, treasury, and risk management. Tom successfully restructured the business, leading to a successful IPO.

Tom then worked as a Business Advisor, providing services to internet, biotech, and advertising companies, among others. Tom handled forensic accounting for a multinational advertising company and coached the Director of Finance, resulting in improved operations.

Tom then joined Jacuzzi Brands Corporation as the VP, Global Controller, and Assistant Corporate Controller, where they had hands-on responsibility for various financial areas and more than 100 professionals.

Tom subsequently worked at Tatum LLC as the Controller/Vice President of Finance and CFO, where they assisted a publicly-traded business services entity in managing its budget and implementing workforce reductions.

Tom then joined QEP as Vice President, before joining Protective Products Enterprises / Point Blank Enterprises as the Chief Financial Officer. Through acquisitions, they transformed the company into one of the largest body armor system designers and manufacturers worldwide.

In their most recent role at Point Blank Enterprises, Tom served as the Executive Vice President, HR, Legal Affairs & Special Projects. Tom oversaw legal affairs, litigation, and external law firms, while also advising sales and business development teams.

Throughout their career, Tom has demonstrated strong leadership and a track record of driving growth and organizational development.

Tom S. earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from the University of Iowa from 1982 to 1984. During the same period, they also attended the University of Iowa - Henry B. Tippie College of Business, where they obtained a Master's degree in Accounting. In April 1985, Tom obtained the CPA - inactive certification from the AICPA.
