Senior Software Engineer at Point One Navigation

Jonathan Diamond has worked in the software engineering and computer science fields since 2007. Jonathan began their career as a Researcher at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) where they wrote test cases in C/C++/Java for testing source code security analyzers and set up and coded a mock web store using Apache Tomcat and MySQL for testing web application scanners. In 2009, they worked as a Researcher at Cornell University where they modified a stock RC car to operate autonomously and developed learning algorithms to take advantage of wheel slippage and drifting. Jonathan was also a TA in a robotic learning course. In 2010, they joined Coherent Navigation as a Senior Development Engineer, where they were the lead designer and developer for an Iridium radio for satellite navigation. Jonathan created software versions in C++ for algorithm evaluation and an FPGA version in Verilog, and managed simulation and hardware tool chains for Altera FPGA. In 2015, they worked at Apple as a Wireless: Location Software Engineer. From 2016 to 2021, they worked at Swift Navigation as an FPGA and Software Consultant and Manager. During this time, they provided specialized knowledge for a specific customer engagement and helped using their knowledge from their previous role at the company. Jonathan also managed a team of 8 engineers focused on GPS receiver test automation, analysis tools, and execution, and built and maintained test automation infrastructure. In 2021, they joined Point One Navigation as a Senior Software Engineer. Jonathan also works part-time at SRI International as a Computer Scientist at the SRI International Computer Science Laboratory.

Jonathan Diamond obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Cornell University between 2006 and 2009.
