William Brannon has worked in a variety of roles in the engineering and research fields. In 2021, they began working as a Software Engineer for Point One Navigation. Prior to this, they were a Robotics Engineer for Coast Autonomous (2020), a Graduate Research Assistant at Stanford University (2019-2018), a Research Intern at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (2018), a Manufacturing Engineering Intern at Adient (2017), a Power Distribution Engineering Intern at Alabama Power Company (2015), and an Undergraduate Researcher at Auburn University (2016-2017). During their time at Stanford, Brannon employed and optimized a model predictive control-based driver model on a high fidelity racing simulator, and they developed decision making and planning techniques for an autonomous vehicle performing multiple lane changes in an urban environment. At Auburn University, they created a computer program that automated CAD model creation of electronics cooling nozzle arrays, and they assisted with the development of a new metal additive manufacturing technique.
William Brannon received their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Auburn University in 2018 and their Master of Science in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Stanford University in 2020. William is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Computer Science at the Georgia Institute of Technology, which they expect to complete in 2024.
