Joshua Moore

Joshua Moore has a diverse work experience spanning over 13 years. Joshua is currently employed at Point as an Analytics Manager, where they are responsible for building the analytics infrastructure and managing the data engineering and central data analytics functions. Joshua has extensive experience with tools such as Snowflake, Apache Airflow, dbt Cloud, Fivetran, GitHub Actions, AWS, Sigma, Monte Carlo, and Hightouch. Josh has implemented dbt and converted existing SQL scripts to dbt models, as well as implemented Apache Airflow to orchestrate workloads.

Prior to Point, Josh worked at Procore Technologies as a Data Architect and Lead Data Engineer. In these roles, they implemented dbt for source controlling and deploying data models in Snowflake, trained team members in its usage, and collaborated on CI processes using Gitlab CI. Joshua also utilized Apache Airflow for data pipeline orchestration, wrote Airflow DAGs to integrate data from internal and external sources, and owned the migration and consolidation of data assets.

Before joining Procore, Josh held multiple roles at MINDBODY, Inc., including Data Warehouse Engineer, Senior Database Administrator, Associate Database Administrator, Principal Data Conversion Specialist, Data Conversion Supervisor, Data Conversion Specialist, Premium Account Coordinator, Quality Assurance Specialist, and Technical Support Specialist. As a Data Warehouse Engineer, they owned critical SSIS packages and implemented BIML for package creation and deployment. Joshua also played a role in maintaining a production MSSQL database server environment and responding to database-related helpdesk requests. Additionally, Josh served as an Assistant Coach for the Cal Poly Men's Lacrosse team from 2009 to 2016.

Joshua Moore attended California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo from 2003 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Economics and Business Administration. Their concentration was in Management Information Systems.

In terms of additional certifications, Joshua obtained the "MCTS: SQL Server 2008: Implementation and Maintenance" certification from Microsoft in February 2014. In February 2019, they also earned the "Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect - Professional" certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS). Prior to that, in September 2017, they obtained the "AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate" certification, also from Amazon Web Services.
