Peter Northcutt

Instructional Designer at Point

Peter Northcutt has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations. In 2014, they started working as the Director of Youth Ministries at First Missionary Baptist Church, where they built mentorship relationships with approximately 40 students, oversaw a team of 20 volunteer teachers, and organized recreational activities. In 2017, they joined Teach For America as a Corps Member, teaching 8th grade English at Fanning Middle School for two years. In 2019, Peter took on the role of Co-Author at The Society of Gilbert Keith Chesterton, where they collaborated on a modern translation of philosopher G. K. Chesterton's works. Peter also served as an Instructional Designer at Industrial Training Services Inc, starting in 2019 and becoming the Lead Instructional Designer in 2022. In this role, Peter designed and maintained a library of over 150 training resources using various software applications and collaborated with subject matter experts. Most recently, in 2022, they joined Point as an Instructional Designer.

Peter Northcutt earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting from Murray State University, where they attended from 2012 to 2017. Following this, they pursued a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Secondary Education and Teaching at the University of Missouri-Saint Louis, from 2017 to 2019. In February 2020, they obtained the certification of Association for Talent Development (ATD) Master Instructional Designer from the Association for Talent Development (ATD).
