John Borders is an accomplished professional in trading technology with extensive experience in macro and fixed income sectors. Currently serving as Head of Macro Trading Technology at Point72 since July 2016, John oversees trading technology strategy and manages the straight-through processing (STP) for the firm, contributing to the development of a systematic trading platform for quantitative macro trading. Previously, John held senior positions at Jefferies LLC as Senior Vice President, where responsibilities included managing Fixed Income ETF technology, and at AllianceBernstein as Vice President, focused on FI Derivatives OMS development. Earlier roles at Barclays Capital and UBS involved architectural leadership in Fixed Income Rates and risk systems. John has a solid foundation in technology management and development, starting as Vice President at Credit Suisse First Boston and Associate Director at Bear Stearns. John holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Rochester and a BS in Physics from Purdue University.
