Joy Yang

Joy Yang is an experienced economist currently serving as the Head of Asia Macro and Strategy Research at Point72 since April 2017. Prior to this role, Joy was the Chief Asia Economist at Brevan Howard from May 2013 to February 2017 and held the position of Chief Economist for Greater China at Mirae Asset Securities (HK) from August 2011 to April 2013. Joy began a career at the International Monetary Fund as an Economist from September 2007 to July 2011 and contributed to academia as a Lecturer and teaching assistant at the University of California, Los Angeles from 2003 to 2007. Joy holds a PhD in Economics from UCLA and a Bachelor of Economics and Finance from The University of Hong Kong, alongside earlier studies at Fudan University.
