Luoting Fu

Luoting Fu is currently an IAC Researcher at Point72, a position held since February 2024. Prior to this role, Luoting Fu worked at WorldQuant from August 2013 to April 2022, serving as Director and VP of Deep Learning, Lead Engineer, and Quantitative Developer. Earlier experience includes a tenure as Lead Software Developer for the CMU Truss Tutor Project at Carnegie Mellon University from 2010 to June 2013, collaborating with Dr. Paul Steif, and serving as a Research Assistant at the Visual Design and Engineering Lab at Carnegie Mellon University from August 2008 to June 2013, focusing on geometric modeling tools for industrial design. Luoting Fu earned a PhD and MS in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University between 2008 and 2013, following a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University obtained in 2005.
