Benjamin Kandel

Benjamin Kandel is a Principal Applied Machine Learning Researcher at PointClickCare since December 2019. Prior to this role, Benjamin served as Manager of Engineering and Machine Learning at HVH Precision Analytics, where leadership of a distributed team focused on enhancing SCIPHERaccess, a healthcare machine learning platform, as well as driving significant sales through innovative projects. A Lead Data Scientist at Picwell, Benjamin developed advanced machine learning models for commercial insurance recommendations and streamlined data entry processes for clients. Earlier in his career, Benjamin gained valuable experience as a Data Scientist at the University of Pennsylvania, where honors included the Howard Hughes Medical Institute Interfaces Scholarship and the NDSEG graduate fellowship. Benjamin holds a Ph.D. in Bioengineering from the University of Pennsylvania and a BA in Physics from Yeshiva University.
