Jim Baker

Jim Baker has a wide range of experience in the field of data analytics and risk management. Jim began their career at S-Cubed, where they worked as a Senior Staff Scientist for over 20 years. Jim then joined HNC Software and held various positions, including Staff Scientist, Senior Staff Scientist, and Principal Scientist. Jim also worked at HNC/FICO as the Director of Falcon Modeling, where they were responsible for credit and debit card fraud models. Jim later joined BasePoint Analytics as a Principal Scientist and eventually became the VP of Analytics. At CoreLogic, Jim served as a Sr. Director of Analytics. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Principal Scientist at PointPredictive Inc., where they focus on building and delivering predictive risk management and consumer solutions.

Jim Baker earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Stanford University, where they studied from 1963 to 1967. Afterward, they pursued further education and obtained a Ph.D. in Astrophysics from UC San Diego, which they completed between the years 1967 and 1973.
