Gorkem Erinc

Gorkem Erinc is a seasoned research engineer with extensive experience in indoor positioning technology, algorithms, and software development. Currently serving as a Senior Research Engineer at Pointr, Gorkem previously co-founded Indoora, where advanced high-accuracy indoor positioning technology relying on sensor fusion and machine learning was developed. Gorkem held leadership roles at AdenSoft as Director, providing algorithm design and machine learning solutions, and co-founded and served as CTO at ICP Labs, focusing on wireless signal localization and web service development. Academic roles include research positions and teaching assistance at prestigious institutions such as the University of California Merced and Carnegie Mellon University, where significant contributions to robotics and virtual reality were made. Gorkem holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California Merced, an MSc in Computer Science from Jacobs University Bremen, and a BSc in Mechatronics Engineering from Sabanci University.
