Chris Shepperd

Editorial Manager at The Pokémon Company International

Chris Shepperd has a diverse work experience in the gaming industry. Chris started their career at Nintendo of America in 1998 as a Bilingual (French) Consumer Representative, where they handled direct phone calls from French-Canadian consumers on various topics related to hardware, PR, and gameplay. Chris then worked as a Production Assistant at Nintendo Power magazine, supporting the creative staff in video production and managing sensitive assets. In 2005, they transitioned to become a Writer for Nintendo Power, conceptualizing, researching, and writing articles, reviewing games, and developing creative materials on a monthly basis.

Alongside their work at Nintendo, Shepperd also had freelance roles. Chris worked as a Freelance Writer at Enterplay in 2007, where they wrote trivia card text on Super Mario Bros. and baseball, conducting extensive research. Similarly, at Tetris Online, they worked as a Freelance Writer from 2007 to 2009, covering copywriting, structural site content, and strategy in partnership with a graphic designer.

More recently, Shepperd joined The Pokemon Company International in 2009 as an Editorial Manager, overseeing editorial activities.

Chris Shepperd attended the University of Washington from 1993 to 1997, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.
