Mika I.

Mika I. has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. They began their career as a Contract Translator at Pasona NA Inc. in 2008 and then worked as a Translator at HL-A Co, Inc., where they translated documents and facilitated bilingual meetings. In 2009, Mika became a Game Artist at South Pole Entertainment, creating game designs for iPhone and PC games.

In 2010, Mika joined Barnes and Noble at Emory University as a General Bookseller, responsible for daily sales and inventory control. They also mentored work-study students. The following year, Mika worked as an Account Manager at Atlanta Trading Company, where they operated a global scale supply chain and managed multiple international client relationships. They also played a key role in the disaster recovery mitigation efforts after a tornado hit the company's warehouse.

From 2011 to 2013, Mika worked as a Freelance Localizer at Digital Manga Guild, translating, editing, and lettering Japanese manga and novels for the American market. They also worked as an Account Manager during the same time period at Atlanta Trading Company.

In 2013, Mika joined Voltage Entertainment USA as a Bilingual Associate Producer. They directed and scheduled mobile game content production, facilitated communication between contractors and upper management, and wrote and edited episodic game scenario plots.

In 2014, Mika transitioned to a role as a Content Review Specialist at Google (Artech), where they reviewed and evaluated different types of content. In 2016, they joined GungHo Online Entertainment America, Inc. as a Bilingual Associate Producer. There, Mika managed day-to-day live ops for mobile and PS4 titles, oversaw the publishing of a third-party title, and acted as a translator for Japanese guests during conventions.

Finally, in 2018, Mika joined The Pokémon Company International as a Localization Associate, responsible for localization-related tasks. They were later promoted to the role of Localization Project Manager.
