Mika Suomi currently serves as the Head of Operations at Polarnode since April 2025. Prior to this role, Mika held the position of Manager of New Business Development & Ventures at Ilmatar from December 2022 to April 2025 and was a Steering Committee Member for Vetyklusteri - H2 Cluster Finland from April 2024 to March 2025, where Mika co-chaired the Working Group 1 focused on Strategy & Financing. Mika's earlier experience includes innovation management at Caruna, where responsibilities encompassed strategic monitoring, technology identification, and partnership management, as well as roles in business development and innovation project management. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Aalto University and a Bachelor’s Degree in the same field from both Aalto University and EPFL.
