Pole Position (P1) is a Middle East motorsport and automotive specialist, based in Dubai and operating across the UAE and wider GCC. Founded in 2019, the company was built to bridge motorsport credibility, commercial understanding and premium execution, helping brands, venues, rights holders, investors and government-aligned stakeholders unlock opportunities in the automotive and motorsport space.
Pole Position's work spans several core areas: automotive, motorsport and sim-racing events and brand activations; premium driving experiences across circuit, off-road and touring; B2B sim racing, including simulator activations, online and offline competitions and sim-racing destination development; strategic motorsport consultancy including grassroots development, championship coordination, IP representation and market entry; and motorsport destination development. Through Greenpower Middle East, the company also connects motorsport with STEM education via electric-vehicle racing.

Pole Position is led by founder and CEO Ryan Trutch, one of the most experienced and connected figures in regional motorsport, with more than 35 years in the Middle East and over 25 years of business ownership. A racer long before a boardroom figure, Ryan has competed since the age of 11, taking titles in karting, rallying and circuit racing. As former Commercial Director of Dubai Autodrome (approx. 2009 to 2019), Ryan understands both the operational realities of motorsport delivery and the strategic requirements of government, tourism, sponsor and investor stakeholders. During that decade he scaled Dubai Kartdrome revenues by 60% in three years, created the Emirates Schools Karting Competition, accelerated the Karting Academy and delivered the Dubai Autodrome Business Park from concept to tenant handover, helping establish the circuit as a hub for UAE motorsport businesses. That combination of credibility, commercial experience and regional relationships is what allows Pole Position to turn motorsport and automotive concepts into deliverable, sustainable, commercially viable realities.

Pole Position's work is nationally sanctioned. The company is licensed by the Emirates Motorsport Organisation (EMSO) as a motorsport events organiser and serves as official delivery partner for the EMSO National Digital Motorsports Competition; founder Ryan Trutch also served five years on the EMSO steering committee for National Motorsports Development. Recent work includes the 2023 Jebel Jais Hill Climb feasibility study (developed with the RAK Chamber of Commerce and now being progressed toward delivery) and Greenpower Middle East, delivered in partnership with the UAE Ministry of Energy & Infrastructure.
