Lohscheller is the Chief Executive Officer of Polestar, shaping the next chapter of the company's development. Lohscheller has two decades of senior-level experience in the global automotive industry, including as CEO of Opel, Vinfast, and Nikola, and as CFO of Volkswagen Group. Lohscheller previously served as Chief Financial Officer for Volkswagen Group of America (2008–2012) and as CFO, Member of the Board at Adam Opel AG (2012–2017), and was Global CEO of VINFAST LLC (2021–2022) and President of Nikola Motor Company (2022–2023). Lohscheller earned an MA in European Marketing from Brunel University London (1992–1996), a Dipl-Kaufmann in European Business Studies from Hochschule Osnabrück (1988–1992), and completed executive education at Stanford University Graduate School of Business (2014–2015).
