Chris Yao

Chris Yao has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Chris most recently joined poLight as the Head of camera system in November 2021. Previously, they worked at O-Film Technology as the Deputy Director of the R&D Team from August 2018 to May 2022. There, they managed and led a project team in the development and implementation process for compact camera modules and systems. Before that, Chris worked at Truly Semiconductors Ltd. as a Technical PM from June 2014 to July 2018, where they were responsible for market promotion and technical support for the CCM product line in Taiwan and Japan. Prior to that, they served as the FAE Manager at coAsia from October 2010 to May 2014, managing an FAE team and providing technical support for Samsung CMOS image sensors. Chris began their career as a Sr. Hardware Engineer at 海海科技集團 in June 2004 and worked there until October 2010, leading digital camera hardware design and debug.

Chris Yao attended Lunghwa University of Science and Technology from 2000 to 2002, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering.
