Polkomtel sp. z o.o. is the operator of Plus mobile network which was launched in 1996 and currently has around 13,5 million users.
Since the beginning of its operations Polkomtel Sp. z o.o. has been the pioneer in introducing latest technological solutions to the Polish market. It has been dynamically implementing  data transmission technologies which enable increasingly faster access to the Internet. Thanks to such technologies as LTE, HSPA/HSPA+, CDMA, or the older generation 2G and 3G technologies, as much as 99% of Poland’s population has access to the Internet which can be conveniently use not only in the biggest cities but also in less urbanized areas. LTE in Plus network covers 66,7% of Poland’s population while HSPA/HSPA+ extends over an area inhabited by around 99,6% of the country’s population.

The product portfolio of Polkomtel sp. z o.o., apart from offering the standard voice services, also includes numerous data transmission-dedicated services, information, entertainment and  location-based services, mobile payments as well as numerous other modern solutions which are useful for both business users and residential customers. 
Polkomtel Sp. z o.o. also supports important projects associated with safety, health care, education and sports. In cooperation with the Voluntary Mountain Rescue Service (GOPR), Voluntary Tatra Mountain Rescue Service (TOPR) and Voluntary Lifeguard Service (WOPR) Polkomtel Sp. z o.o. has created the Integrated Safety System whose important elements include the emergency number for the seaside and the lakes, 601 100 100, and the emergency number in the mountains, 601 100 300. 

Polkomtel Sp. z o.o., while being a long-standing general sponsor of Polish volleyball, caring for both the players’ professional skills as well as the perfect organization of tournaments, has contributed to enormous growth of popularity of volleyball in Poland.
