Amanda Sou has a long and varied work experience, beginning in 2009 with an internship at IGT as a Firmware Gaming Engineering Intern. Here, they developed and implemented specialized software tools, designed and developed GUI software, and performed administrative duties. In 2010, they took on the role of System Administrator at Sierra Army Depot, where they were the POC/SME for SQL development and Application development, as well as a SQL Administrator, Web Master, and SharePoint Administrator. In 2013, they were a Software Engineer (Contracted) at JusCollege and an Apprentice Web Developer at Coding Dojo, where they assisted in mentoring other classes and learned technologies such as jQuery UI/jQuery Mobile, Git/GitHub, Twitter Bootstrap, MongoDB, Socket.io, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS, RoR, and Node. Since 2014, they have been an Application Engineer at Pololu Corporation, where they create, updates, and maintains test units for quality control of manufactured products (C, C++), develops software to control benchtop devices (e.g. power supplies, loads, and DMMs) for product characterization (C#), develops and maintains macros in MS Excel for receiving and purchasing operations (VBA), develops an Arduino library to interface with servo controller, and provides technical support via email, official forum, and social media channels. Other technologies utilized in this role include Atmel Studio and Arduino.

Amanda Sou has an education history that includes a Black Belt from Coding Dojo in 2013 for Full Stack Web Developer, as well as a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) from the University of Nevada, Reno in Computer and Information Engineering from 2005 to 2009.
