Abhay Agarwal has a wide range of work experience, beginning with a Research Assistant position at The University of Texas at Austin's Center for Non Linear Dynamics in 2008. Abhay then moved to UC Berkeley College of Engineering as a Research Assistant for CITRIS in 2011. In 2016, they were awarded a fellowship at Microsoft to publish research in the field of AI for social impact. In 2019, they became a Lecturer at the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design at Stanford (d.school) and founded Polytopal, a human-centered AI consulting company. Currently, they are joining the faculty at The University of Texas at Austin's School for Design and Creative Technology (SDCT) and the Center for Integrated Design (CID) as an Adjunct Lecturer & Designer-In-Residence, and will be teaching ITD 111: Intro to AI in Fall 2022. Abhay is also the CEO of Poly.
Abhay Agarwal earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley in 2012. Abhay then went on to pursue a Master of Science in Product Design from Stanford University, which they completed in 2019.
