Lucy Bryan has a wide range of work experience in various roles and industries. Starting in 2010, they worked as an Assistant Pastry Chef at Child's Pastry Shop. In 2011, they worked as an Editorial Intern at Fulcrum Publishing and later became a Manager and Decorator at Cake Crumbs Bakery. In 2012, they worked as an Instructor at Kumon and also served as a Bookseller and Author Events Coordinator at Tattered Cover Bookstore. In 2014, they became a Program Mentor/Writing Instructor at The University of Chicago. From 2015 to 2017, they worked as a Student Services and Program Coordinator for Gear Up at Loyola University Chicago. In 2017, they joined mindSpark Learning as a Director of Events and Programming. In 2019, they transitioned to City Year and worked as an Impact Manager until 2022. Currently, they are working as a Mentor Success Manager at Polygence, starting in 2022.
Lucy Bryan obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English Language and Literature from Connecticut College, where they studied from 2006 to 2010. Lucy later pursued a Master's Degree in Humanities/Humanistic Studies at the University of Chicago from 2013 to 2014. In addition to their formal education, Lucy has obtained certifications such as a Mental Health First Aid Certificate from Mental Health First Aid Colorado in July 2019, a Certificate in Publishing from the University of Denver Publishing Institute in August 2010, and they are also First Aid Certified from the Education Center-ECSI, which they obtained in March 2018.
